Believing that all children are created in God's image, CURBS starts in the world of the urban child and, through positive relationships, seeks to build bridges which will enable them to experience God's loving care. CURBS has 3 main aims:
  • To promote an approach to working with children which starts in their world, recognises their developmental needs and values their spirituality.
  • To provide Christian resources for inner city children and those on outer urban estates for use in church-linked Sunday, mid-week, holiday activities and similar settings.
  • To provide support, training and encouragement for children's workers in such areas by means of training and resource days, networking and partners.

Godly Play
Godly Play is a creative and imaginative approach to Christian nurture. It can be used in a variety of settings churches, schools, hospitals, care homes for the elderly. It invites listeners into stories and encourages them to connect the stories with personal experience. It is a way of preparing children to join in the worship and life of their congregations as they develop a deeper understanding of stories, symbols and rites. Although originally developed as a resource for children, Godly Play is used with a range of age groups in a diversity of settings.

Kidz Klub
Kidz klub says ..... “Our aim has always been to present the good news of Jesus Christ to children in a way that they can understand and in a manner that keeps their attention. By combining this with making visits to their home, befriending both them and their families, we’ve seen many of these children receive Jesus as their saviour and go on to become active members of the church. Whole families have been impacted with the love of God. Kidz Klub contains two distinct but vital elements, neither of which works without the other. The Kidz Klub programme presents the gospel in an upbeat and relevant manner, while the home visits reinforce this message by demonstrating the love of God to a child and their family, week in, week out, on their own doorstep.
